Seriously, this is why I love my job. Jaden shows up with the coolest clothes, a great smile, a great serious face, and awesome parents. it just doesn't get any better than that. We had a great time making a loop around Old Town. I love that place and I think it was the perfect place to capture such a great kid like him.

happy {1st} birthday to the cutest boy in town. i enjoyed my session with little sam--his blue eyes, his cute expressions, and the love i saw his mom & dad had for him were all a very special treat.

at this point in my trip, i was deathly ill with the flu. i could hardly stand and some of my clients probably thought that was just the way i was, but i promise i tried my best to keep going. the only thing that kept me going was the shaved ice at Rainbow Snow on my way home. oh man, the combination of black cherry/coconut or just plain lime, can really make you feel like a million bucks...for the moment.

to the rest of you darling families waiting to see your pictures, they're coming! only 3 more on my list of UT sessions. hang in there!

This is going to be a gigantic post because this is one gorgeous family! The mother of these 5 beautiful children was a best friend of mine in high school. I knew way back then that Kerri was not only going to have gorgeous kids, but that she was going to be an amazing mother...

really, kids just don't come any cuter. the last time i photographed these two was when Olivia was 6 months old and Will was 2. it was so fun to meet up with them in UT, even though we both live in VA. i love photographing cute, little faces.

these kids are no strangers when it comes to my camera. my oldest sister's kids live the closest to me and we always get to meet up in UT in the summer as well as a few other times of the year. they are all growing up right before my eyes...

When little Raven first emerged from her car seat, I knew we were going to have a great session. All the cuteness and chunkiness I could hope for :)
She was such a trooper as we did as many set-ups as we could. Her mom brought this most amazing antique bed and little car. Amazing.

Okay, these are 2 pretty cute little kids. They mean a lot to me. Little McKay's life is a treasure for us everyday. He didn't have the easiest beginning and we are lucky to have him in our lives. You can read his story HERE. And Ruby, "tootie-fruitie Ruby" is the cutest thing ever. She just has one of the faces that you can't get enough of. Oh, I love her....

These photos were calling for a different kind of post-processing. A little retro, a little vintage....I really like the way they look.

Even though this was my last of about 14 sessions in UT, I had to edit and post the rest of these pics of Hattie. She had about 5 minutes of patience since we interrupted her rice cereal breakfast. What a great little baby she is. I hope she doesn't grow up too much before I see her next!

Ok, now I am officially baby-hungry. I don't want to eat a baby, but I want a baby of my own right now! When I arrived in UT, one of my first stops, even before Cafe RIo, was to visit baby Charli Mae. She is so beautiful, so peaceful, and has been delivered to a wonderful family. And yes, her mother is gorgeous beyond words...

little miss Sofie is quite the beauty. i would've paid good money for my babies to have this much hair when they were born!

Amy and John had the most amazing day at The Hillsborough with so many family and friends to help them celebrate. Amy is the one of the most kind and genuine brides I have ever met. Oh, I am so excited to be sharing this with you. Lynn with Handmaiden's Cottage is really unbelievable. This is one of my most favorite dresses, with the pattern by Sandi Henderson and some really, really yummy fabric. I couldn't wait to take Izzy out with my 2 new props to highlight this great little dress.

Do you all remeber little Avery just about 2.5 months ago?

Well....my, oh my! She is getting bigger and possibly even cuter. I actually didn't think that was possible, and although I hate to see babies from that wonderful newborn stage, Avery is smiling and getting cute, little chunky legs. Love it.
